Chasing the total, Jurriene Arrasta Diergaardt and Yasmeen Khan kept their nerves  at bay as they built up a partnership for Namibia.

However, Zimbabwe’s debutant, Michelle Mavunga, broke the partnership in the 14th over getting the wicket of Khan.

Diergaardt’s unbeaten 62 drove the Capricorn Eagles to a 7-wicket victory.

The tournament continues on Thursday with Namibia taking on Uganda in the morning before they lock horns with Zimbabwe later in the afternoon.
