Natalie Leads SA in Champs

gsport’s December gSTAR Natalie du Toit has been appointed to lead the South African team to the first International Paralympic Committee (IPC) Swimming World Championships, starting in Durban today.

More than 900 swimmers and officials will represent 50 countries contesting the inaugural championships, reportedly marking the event as one of the biggest swimming event featuring disabled athletes, other than the Paralympic Games.

Organised by Disability Sport SA, the championships will commence with an Opening Ceremony at the Kings Park Aquatic Centre, and white ribbons will be distributed to show support for the 16 Days of Activism Against Women and Child Abuse campaign.
