South Africans intending to pay tribute to the nation’s outstanding women achievers have just over two weeks left in which to make their nominations for this year’s prestigious Shoprite Checkers / SABC 2 Woman of the Year Award.
Nominations are called for in the seven categories of the Award: arts, culture and communications; business entrepreneurs; education; health; science and technology; social welfare; and sport.
Each of the seven category winners of the 2007 Shoprite Checkers / SABC 2 Woman of the Year Award will receive R10 000 in prize money, while the overall winner will receive R30 000 in prize money.
Nominations should reach the organisers by Friday, 04 May 2007 and nomination forms are available from Shoprite or Checkers stores, online at the Woman of the Year website, by contacting the organisers on (021) 980 4285, or by e-mail: [email protected].
