#NWC2023: Day 1 Morning Session Results Update

The 2023 Netball World Cup got off to an exciting start at the Cape Town International Convention Centre on Friday, 28 July 2023. 

The morning session kicked off at 09h00 CAT, where defending champions New Zealand faced off against Trinidad & Tobago at the main arena (CTICC 1) and Tonga and Fiji battling it out at CTICC 2. 

At the 5000-seater capacity CTICC 1, New Zealand put up a stellar show, defeating Trinidad & Tobago 76-27. 

While, in the second encounter, Tonga beat Fiji 56-51, in what was a tight match-up.

In the second session at 11h00, Australia thumped Zimbabwe 86-30, while Uganda secured a 79-37 victory over Singapore.

Coming up in the afternoon/evening session: 

16h00: Opening Ceremony 

18h00: South Africa vs Wales 

            Jamaica vs Sri Lanka

20h00: England vs Barbados 

            Malawi vs Scotland
