2022 Momentum gsport Awards luminaries Kaylene Corbett and Michaela Whitebooi have been appointed as co-flag bearers for Team South Africa at the World University Games in Chengdu, China.

Emerging Athlete of the Year finalist Kaylene Corbett and will walk alongside 2022 Momentum gsport Awards Ministerial Recognition of Excellence recipient and South African judoka Michaela Whitebooi.
24-year-old 100m breaststroke swimmer Corbett and African judoka champion Whitebooi are students at the University of Pretoria.
When Whitebooi was announced as the flag bearer in June, she told gsport writer Rudene Hare that being given the honour of being flag-bearer, was “a great honour”.
