“The season has been really refreshing and exciting. It has been amazing playing with this group of girls.
“We have grown so close and respect each other tremendously. Every person in each position is one of the best in the league which has allowed us to sit at the top with three games to go.”
While the rest of the world came to a complete halt due to the global Covid-19 pandemic, the Aland Island were fortunate as they were not badly effected – to the delight of Fulutudilu.
“I have been fortunate to have decided to come to a country where Coronavirus has not had a huge effect on the way of life and the soccer leagues.
“We have been able to start and hopefully finish our season soon without any interruptions.
“This has also allowed me to continue to grow as the consistency of the games and trainings have been at a high level.”
“I would like to combine my consistency and goals to ensure that my game can go to an even higher level.” – Fulutudilu on her personal performances this season.
Speaking on her personal performances she says: “This year I have been more consistent every week in games but have not scored as much as I would’ve liked.
“So, I would like to combine my consistency and goals to ensure that my game can go to an even higher level.”
She hopes to help her team claim the Kansallinen Liiga title to complete a cup double.
“We have three games to go in the league and sitting at the top but on equal points with TIPS – the team we just beat to win the cup final.
“Our hope and aim is to win the league so we will be fighting to finish strong and make history to do the double for the club.”
As one of South Africa’s national team player’s to have led the way on the global stage, Fulutudilu is excited to see the growing list of the country’s footballers earning international contracts.
“I think it is an amazing thing that has been happening that more of our players have been able to get international contracts.
“It will only help to grow and improve our game and competitiveness in the national team.
“Also, we will be able to compete better against international teams that have professional leagues,” she ended.
