Rebeca Andrade Becomes First South American Gymnast to Win All Around Gold Medal

Brazil’s Rebeca Andrade continues making history in gymnastics after winning the All Around gold medal at the 2022 World Championships in Liverpool on Friday, 04 November 2022.

She is the first non-American and non-European gymnast to achieve this ground-breaking milestone.

Andrade had the highest score of 15.166 on vault. She also scored 14.666 and 13.400 on uneven bars and balance beam, respectively.

While on floor, she had the highest score of 14.400, tying with bronze medalist Jessica Gadirova of Great Britain.

Andrade is also the first Latin gymnast to win an Olympic medal. She won gold on vault and a silver in the All Around.
