Result: New Zealand bt SPAR Proteas 63-24

World no. 2 New Zealand beat the SPAR SA Netball Proteas by a margin of 39 points in the Quad Series International Netball tournament in Wellington on Sunday morning, the second test match between the sides ending 63-24.

Q1 SA 5/10 NZ 18/21
Q2 SA 5/11 NZ 13/16
Q3 SA 5/6 NZ 16/19
Q3 SA 9/14 NZ 16/17


SPAR Proteas captain Amanda Mynhardt said after the clash: “Our positives include getting through Ferns defence, we need to play the short ball and need to do that more often. The upside is experience against world’s best!”

The Silver Ferns’ win by 39 goals on home soil is a significant result by the Proteas against the Silver Ferns, and Coach Kotze will be proud of her charges.
