South Africa’s Under 21 Women’s Hockey team qualified for the FIH Hockey Junior World Cup after a 100 percent group stage completion at the Junior Africa Cup in Ismailia, Egypt.
The International Hockey Federation (FIH) Junior World Cup will take place from 6-17 December in Chile.
The ladies in green and white booked their place in the final of the Junior Africa Cup on Wednesday, 15 March, when they beat Egypt 11-0 on day 3 of the challenge.
SA will now face Zimbabwe who also recorded a 7-0 victory against Kenya.
The final of the Junior Africa Cup will take place on Thursday, 16 March in Ismailia.
South Africa’s Results at the Junior Africa Cup:
Day 1 – South Africa 3 – 0 Zimbabwe
Day 2 – South Africa 5 – 0 Kenya
Day 3 – South Africa 11- 0
