South African golfer Samantha Whateley was crowned the 2023 Cobra/Puma Central Gauteng Golf Union Ladies Champion at the Royal Johannesburg and Kensington Golf Club.
The 19-year-old finished one shot (-11) ahead of 2023 SA amateur champion Kyra van Kan (-10) in an epic battle of 54 holes of golf.
In the silver division, Stacey-lee van Gent walked away as the winner while Olga van Zyl walked away as the bronze division winner.
In the mid-amater division, Lauren van der Merwe was crowned the winner, while Bongiwe Shabalala was crowned the senior women’s champion.
