Kenyan duo of Sarah Wangari and Grancy Kandagor won silver and bronze medals, respectively, in the women’s 10 000m event at the Deaflympics in Caxias do Sul in Brazil.
While, Mexico’s Lourdes Ponce Juarez triumphed to win gold in a time of 38:06:59.
The 24th edition of the Deaflympics Games kick started on Sunday, 1 May and will conclude on 15 May.
Close to 2,100 athletes from 72 countries are participating at the Games.
Ukraine is currently leading on the medal tally with 89 medals comprising 42 gold, 22 silver and 25 bronze.
Kenya is sitting in 12th position with 9 medals, closely followed by Algeria with 5.
