Shelly-Ann Fraser Pryce Crowned Sportswoman of the Year at Laureus World Sports Awards

Jamaican sprinter Shelly-Ann Fraser Pryce bagged the biggest accolade of the night at the 2023 Laureus World Sports Awards in Paris on Monday, 8 May.

Fraser Pryce walked away with the Sportswoman of the Year Award, after her incredible track history expanded over the past year, including a fifth World Athletics 100m title and fifth Diamond League trophy on her achievements list.

 

Cathrine Debrunner was named Sportsperson of the Year with Disability, after dominating major races and setting world records.

Eileen Gu was named World Action Sportswoman of the Year after becoming the youngest Olympic freeski champion in history in Beijing.
