Fresh after the 2023 Netball World Cup, the SPAR Proteas will travel to Australia to face the newly crowned champions in a three test match series in October.

The last time the two countries faced off against each other was during the Quad Series in Cape Town before the global showpiece. This will be the first test series South Africa plays post the Netball World Cup.

“It is a good thing that we get to play the new World Champs at a time like this – I am sure that the players will take a few lessons from this series. Most importantly, we want to use this series as one of the things we do as part of our succession plan. We want to take some few coaches with the team, reason for this is that we want to learn and be exposed to what is out there so that when Coach Plummer leaves then we have a few people to look and choose from,” said Cecilia Molokwane, Netball South Africa President.

The SPAR Proteas and Diamonds did not face each other during the World Cup and will be eager and looking forward to the games.

Broadcast schedule for the series will be announced in due course.
