Yolande Speedy lived up to her pre-race favourite status, when she blazed her way to comfortable victory in the women’s Pro-Elite race at the second round of the 2008 Mazda MTN SA Mountain Bike Cup in Pretoria at the weekend.

Speedy (IMC Racing) took the lead from the start and steadily increased it throughout the four-lap event, to claim her second successive win in the national series, finishing two-and-a-half minutes ahead of the pack.
