The well-known brand that was established in the 1930’s will become the first official hygiene partner of the team.
CEO of SA Rugby, Jurie Roux said: “We’re delighted to welcome a new partner to the SA Rugby family, especially one that is in the forefront of promoting good hygiene practices, following the lessons we have hopefully learned from the COVID-19 pandemic.
It is more important than ever to ensure fundamental hygiene measures are in place to help protect rugby players and supporters from all kinds of infections. This partnership with Dettol will give us added reassurance that we remain vigilant in this area.”
The partnership with Dettol will see hand sanitizing stations at national team matches, with the women players set to feature in the promotion of safe hygiene practices.
The Springbok Women’s team is currently in New Zealand, participating at the Rugby World Cup. They are set to face FIJI in their second match in Pool C, on Sunday 16 October 2022.
