Springbok Women Squad Announced Ahead of Rugby World Cup

South African Rugby President Mr. Mark Alexander announced the Springbok Women squad to represent South Africa at the 2022 RWC scheduled to take place in New Zealand from 8 October – 12 November 2022.

This will be the fourth appearance for the Women Boks who made their debut in 2006.

The 32-member squad as selected by coach Stanley Raubenheimer will be led by team captain Nolusindiso Booi who will be making her third appearance at the tournament

The team is dominated by debutants, however it also has a select few players who will be familiar with the tournament. Zenay Jordaan joins Booi with three appearance, while Tayla Kinsey and Asithandile Ntoyanto will be making their second appearances at the showpiece. (Source: springboks.rugby)

Women Boks are in Pool C alongside France, Fiji and England. They will get their campaign underway on Saturday, 8 October against France at Eden Park in Auckland, followed by the second encounter against Fiji 8 days later (16 October) at the Waitakere Stadium and wrap up pool C at the same venue against England on the 23rd of October.

Speaking during the squad announcement, President Alexander expressed that they believe in the selected squad and that they will represent South Africa well.
