Springbok Women’s 7s Off to Positive Start

The Springbok Women’s Sevens returned to action after two years with a positive start at the Hermanus Sevens tournament at Mount Pleasant Sports Field on Saturday, 19 February 2022.

The South Africans faced four teams including the Zimbabwean Women’s Sevens side.

In the first match, the Paul Delport-led side beat Blue Jets 41-0 with star of the show, Ayanda Malinga scoring three tries with two conversions from Donelle Snyders and Sne Shozi.

The wins continued with Imbokodo thrashing Lady Cheetahs from Zimbabwe 42-0, Dames Pink 50-0, and Boland 39-0.
