Sunflower WFC defended their top spot on the KwaZulu-Natal Steam A standings after their comfortable 13-0 win against DUT Midlands on Sunday 17 October 2021. 

Sunflower WFC had a 5-0 lead before the half-time break and returned to the pitch to finish the task and take the victory. Sunflower WFC has 39 points from 13 games while DUT Midlands are in the seventh position with just 10 log points having won three of their 13 encounters and one draw.

Elsewhere second-placed Tottenham Ladies earned three points after taking a 2-0 victory against White City to leave them on 28 points on the table. White City are fourth on the standings with 17 points.

In KZN Stream B, the match between Umlazi Arsenal and FC Angels ended in a 2-2 stalemate on Sunday, and both teams earning one point each. Umlazi Arsenal are fifth on the log with 10 points while FC Angels remain at the bottom of the table with just one point.

Lindelani Ladies claimed a hard-fought 3-2 win against Newcastle Ladies to keep their top position on the standings. Lindelani Ladies remain undefeated with 36 points. Newcastle Ladies are in third place with 28 points.

Makhanisi FC thrashed Ixopo Ladies FC in an emphatic 6-0 encounter to leave them in the fourth position on the KZN Stream B standings. Ixopo Ladies FC are in sixth place with 9 points. 

In the North West Stream, De’ Scorpion kept their sheet clean after they clinched a 10-1 victory against Florentina. De’ Scorpion has 68 points on top of the North West Stream. Florentina are 11th on the log with 22 points.

We Can Ladies had no chance against The Bold & The Beautiful after a 9-0 defeat. The loss leaves We Can Ladies at the bottom of the Log with 7 points. The Bold & The Beautiful are in the fifth position with 50 points.

In Free State Stream A, Central University of FS beat Ace Milan in a tight 2-1 battle on Saturday 16 October. Central University of FS remain second on the table with 31 points while Ace Milan moved up to third place with 21 points.

Mathata Take Me Cool also took a 2-1 win against Grassland Ladies FC. Grassland Ladies FC moves below third-placed Ace Milan with 19 points. Mathata Take Me Cool are sixth on the Free State Steam A log with 12 points.

In the Mpumalanga Stream B, Butterfly Ladies FC took their second win of the campaign after a 1-0 win against Likazi Ladies FC.  Butterfly Ladies FC remains at the bottom of the standings with 6 points. Likazi Ladies have nine points and are one position ahead of Butterfly Ladies FC. 

Super Strikers Ladies FC beat log leaders TS Galaxy Ladies FC 2-1 to earn three points from the encounter but remain in second place below TS Galaxy Ladies with 24 points.
