Dorothy Tsotsobe Inducted into gsport Hall of Fame
Eastern Cape women’s rugby pioneer, Dorothy Tsotsobe has been honoured for her selfless contribution to the development of the women’s game in South Africa. She was unveiled as the 2011 gsport Hall of Fame inductee at the 6th Annual gsport Awards, at the prestigious Wanderers Club on Monday.

Restructuring Provincial Cricket
It’s easy to point fingers at the national team when trying to figure out why the rebuilding of women’s cricket is moving so slowly. But, as most role players contacted by gsport have agreed, the national team needs the support of a strong club and provincial setup in order to succeed.

SAFA Boland Soccer Results
Mighty Five Star and Maties top their respective logs in the SAFA Boland Soccer Leagues, with Maties having scored 17 goals without conceding in their two matches, and Five Star having scored a massive 26 goals, also without the ball seeing the back of their net.
Boland Soccer Gets Set
The SAFA Boland Super League, which has recently formed since the splitting of SAFA Western Cape into SAFA Cape Town and SAFA Boland, is about to begin its season, after being delayed following inclement weather.
WP Cricket Champs Again
Western Province completed a last-ball victory over Boland in the final of the provincial Women’s One-Day Challenge on Saturday, after a match in which both teams’ chances see-sawed, only for WP to claim their second consecutive victory over favourites Boland in heart-stopping fashion.
Boland Trounce KZN in Semis
The final of the domestic women’s cricket season will be a repeat of last year’s Western Cape derby after provincial rivals Boland and Western Province both winning their respective semi-finals over the weekend.
