Epic start for Scottburgh Surf Series

Cloudless skies, a packed beach and glassy one metre waves on Saturday provided an epic opening for the fourth and final event in the Billabong ‘Girls Get Out There’ Summer Surf Series event at Scottburgh on the KZN South Coast, where the highly competitive Pro Junior (U20) division produced more outstanding surfing.

Get Out There Part II

The second leg of the R110 000 Billabong ‘Girls Get Out There’ Summer Surf Series moves to Jeffreys Bay this weekend where the country’s top female surf stars will be competing in the 3A rated Open and Pro Junior divisions alongside contests for Under 15’s and Novices on Saturday and Sunday, 15-16 December.

Sarah Leads Top Seeds in Margate

Overcast conditions and occasional drizzle did nothing to dampen the enthusiasm of the hundreds of people who flocked to Margate Beach on Saturday for the opening day of the Billabong ‘Girls Get Out There’ Summer Surf Series.

Nicole Sets Roxy Wahine Alight

Heather Clark made a triumphant return to SA surfing when she scored a narrow but deserved win in the Open division of the fourth and final Billabong ‘Girls Get Out There’ Surf Series event which finished in wind affected one metre waves at Tableview in Cape Town on Sunday.

Kirsten Clinches Kahuna Title

Kirsten Kingma (Hout Bay) was crowned the Kahuna Surf Series champion in the premier U16 girls divisions at an awards ceremony in Kommetjie on Sunday, after the completion of the third and final event of the 2006 series.
