South Africa held their nerve down the home straight to stave off a testing Samoa 54-50 at the New World Netball World Championships in Auckland today, a result which gives South Africa the chance to defend their world ranking of fifth against Malawi on Saturday.

World Champs Squad Announced

  Netball South Africa (NSA) has announced the SPAR National Netball Squad that will represent the country at the New World Netball World Championships to be played in Auckland, New Zealand from 10 – 17 November 2007.

New Captain For SA Netball

Netball South Africa (NSA) selectors have combined youth and experience in the SPAR national netball team to tour England in January.  The tour, which includes three Tests, forms part of the team’s build-up to the world championships in Fiji in July.
