Lise de Klerk overcame measured assessment to beat top-ranked Veronique Luksich 6-4 6-2 in the Girls singles final of the Slazenger Classic Western Province Super 7 Tennis Tournament, to claim the U18 trophy in Cape Town on Sunday.

The two top-seeded U18 Girls made it to the semi-finals of the Slazenger Classic Western Province Super 7 Tennis Tournament, being played in Cape Town, when tournament favourite Veronique Luksich beat third-seeded Menanteau Moolman, and second-seeded Lize de Klerk easily overcame Jade Pondicas, both matches in straight sets.
