Momentum Proteas star batter, Laura Wolvaardt, bagged 3 awards during Cricket South Africa’s virtual awards ceremony, earning the main prize – Women’s Cricketer of the Year. Teammates Shabmin Ismail, Mignon du Preez, Nonkululeko Mlaba and Tazmin Brits were also awarded for their efforts over the past season.

Her mother, Odessa Swarts, was a supreme sprinting talent in her time and her brother is 400m world record holder Wayde van Niekerk.
