Smith Crowned Longboard Champ
The South Coast Surf Carnival, now into its fourth year, attracted thousands of beachgoers to the mid-south coast of KZN, as the surf conditions cleaned up considerably on Sunday in time for the finals, and the strong wind dropped off providing glassy contestable one-metre waves.

Today sees the Pro Kitesurfing contest kicking off the exciting KZN South Coast Surf Carnival at Kelso Beach, a surf spectacle which combines a national Longboard Surfing event starting tomorrow at Scottburgh.
Longboarders Short on Patience
Longboard surfing entries for the fourth annual South Coast Surf Carnival presented by Jeep and The Mercury have been pouring in. The national longboarding contest takes place on 28 and 29 October at Scottburgh beach on the KZN south coast and runs in conjunction with a kitesurfing event that starts a day earlier.

The KZN South Coast is set to sizzle at the end of the month on 27, 28 and 29 October during the fourth annual South Coast Surf Carnival presented by Jeep and The Mercury.
