Brazil’s Talita Antunes and Thamela Coradello grabbed their first gold medal as partners at the Volleyball World Beach Pro Tour held in Cape Town on Sunday, 06 November 2022.

The duo completed their first tournament with a 2-0 (22-20, 21-16) victory over Americans, Sarah Sponcil and Terese Cannon in the gold medal at the Grand Parade.

The 40-year-old Antunes and 22-year-old Coradello built a solid chemistry after having parted ways with their previous partners to drop only one of their six matches in the Mother City to win the tournament.

Taking the bronze medal was world champions, Duda and Ana Patricia, who stunned French duo Lezana Placette and Alexia Richard in straights sets (21-15, 21-15) to bag their fourth medal on the 2022 Beach Pro tour.
