Tatjana Schoenmaker Launches Foundation

by | Oct 26, 2021

Olympic 200m breaststroke champion and world record holder, Tatjana Schoenmaker, officially launched her foundation to assist the next generation to fulfil their dreams.

The 24-year-old took to Twitter to make the announcement, saying: “Finally launched! I hope that the foundation will be a shining light, a blessing to others just as I have been blessed and most importantly a God centred foundation (hence the middle ‘t’ being a cross).

“I was blessed financially by the amazing people of South Africa through crowdfunding and want to now use this to bless others too, through my foundation!”

The news was well received as Schoenmaker takes on a new journey to give back following her success on the international stage.

Recently, Schoenmaker joined Discovery Vitality as ambassador to help encourage healthy living – a programme, which features South African wheelchair tennis ace and 2021 Momentum gsport Awards double winner, Kgothatso Montjane.
