Tavengwa Takes Pretoria Challenge

Pre-race favourites Rene Kalmer and Grace de Olivera failed to achieve their intended results, with Kalmer finishing fourth behind Harmony’s Sharon Tavengwa, Kenya’s Joyce Mwende Katenge and team-mate Louisa Leballo, in the Open division of Pretoria’s SPAR 10km Challenge on Saturday.

In the 40-49 division, Mr Price’s de Oliveira finished second to Tessa Burnell of the Raiders, while Maxine Heine-Wacker was the first of the Juniors to finish.
