Tenille on Attack in Norway

Unseeded 19 year old Tenille Swartz, presently based in the Netherlands, caused a major upset in the first round of the Grays Oslo Open Squash Championships in Oslo, when she ousted second seed and former South African Annelize Naude (Netherlands) 9-3 9-5 4-9 10-8.

Seeded 7 in the Qualifying event, Swartz tore through her opposition, disposing of Norway’s Nicky Schram for the loss of only 3 points, and then accounted for the 3rd seed Susannah King of England 9-2 9-0 9-0 to take her place in the main 16 player draw.

In the quarterfinals Swartz now meets unseeded Elise Ng of Hong Kong, who also caused an upset by beating seventh seed, Georgina Stoker of England in four games.
