gsport … for Girls! editor Kass Naidoo was honoured to be invited as a special guest on Talk at Nine with Tom London, on 702 Talk Radio on Thursday evening.
The 90 minute chat, also broadcast on Cape Talk in the Western Cape, focused on South Africa’s passion for sport, Kass’ career in cricket broadcasting and the gsport initiative.
A flood of callers phoned in to the show to express their support of Kass and her work in sport, to the extent that Tom demanded to know whether gsport had organised a rent-a-crowd for the evening!
Isaac from Soweto held on to the line for more than 30mins to get a chance to speak to Kass, and said that he was very proud of her, and that he hoped more young women imitated Kass, and wished her all the best.
Tom was amazed at the amount of people who used the sms line to send their comments, which included Peter from Cape Town “cas (sic) you are the best since Charles Fortune.”
Ann sent her sms “Cass (sic), besides being such a great sports commentator, I want to compliment you on your classy dress – you don’t sell yourself with sex – good for you girl”, and Jay from Belville; “I’m a 66 yr old granny and I think Cass (sic) is the best.”
Once again Kass was humbled by the massive support from the South African public, with women in particular phoning in to say how proud they were of Kass.
