Uganda’s national netball team, She Cranes, lifted the 2021 Pent Series trophy after earning a clean sweep of victories in Namibia.

The Ugandans were confirmed as the champions of the series with a game to spare.

They kick-started their championship search with an easy 76-22 victory against Zambia. The Queens of Malawi were then chopped to a 59-43 defeat before they outclassed Zimbabwe 79-40.

The Kenyans were next in line as they struggled to a 77-28 defeat. The host nation, Namibia, also found the going tough, losing 56-37 as the Fred Tabale-coached side claimed the series without a defeat.

Malawi, who had four wins and one defeat, finished the tournament in second position. While Zimbabwe claimed the bronze medal with two wins, two defeats, and one draw.

With a shooting rate of 93%, Uganda goal attacker Stella Oyella walked away with the Shooter of the Tournament award.
