World Icon Pietie Coetzee Blooding Next Generation of Hockey Stars

Hockey legend, Pietie Coetzee, will hold her regular hockey clinics to blood the next generation of South African hockey stars on Monday, 9 July 2018 at St David’s Marist in Inanda, Johannesburg.

The clinic, which is open to anyone to attend, aims to get the best out of every player and will also work as a talent identification source for future aspiring hockey players.

The cost is R600 if you pay for the full course on the first day of attending.

“My advice for someone taking up hockey for the first time is to just come down to that first session. Hockey is a sport that has something for everyone. It does not matter if you are tall, short, young or old you will have fun with friends.

“You will experience a great deal of excitement when you start practising and mastering some skills you never thought were possible. You will end up coming back form more and it becomes a life long journey.”

All participants will be coached by top coaches, in small groups, with Coetzee present in all sessions. She will also lead some of the sessions where participants will acquire basic skills, technical improvement and corrections and tactical awareness.

Coetzee is passionate about coaching and loves helping players to achieve their best.

“I absolutely love coaching. It gives me an opportunity to interact with a variety of different people at all levels. I love the challenge it gives me to assist any player to be their best.

“I can share all my knowledge I have gained over so many years. Lastly I do believe I am very good at identifying technical aspects in a players game which needs attention and correcting it. Something I really enjoy focusing on.”

Bookings: Participants can apply by emailing [email protected] or [email protected].
