Annelize Rostron Awarded African Hockey Umpire of the Year

South African hockey umpire, Annelize Rostron, received the prestigious African Hockey Federation Women Umpire of the Year accolade.

In 2021, Rostron had an impressive outing officiating at the FIH Pro League and Tokyo Olympic Games.

Her decision making accuracy made her one of the best umpires thus earning the Ayman Amin Trophy.

Meanwhile, Uganda Hockey Association won the Africa Hockey Federation AfHF Development for their contribution to the development of hockey. The association has trained coaches and umpires among other initiatives.
