The Blue Bulls and Western Province claimed important wins in the second round of the FNB U16 Girls Week, setting up a meeting in the main match on the final day of the tournament, at Kearsney College in Botha’s Hill near Durban on Thursday, 2 July 2026.
The Bulls, WP, Limpopo Blue Bulls and Boland racked up their second wins of the FNB U16 Girls Week tournament on Thursday, while KwaZulu-Natal, the Valke, Golden Lions and Leopards bounced back from their losses in the opening round.
The Bulls had to work very hard before grinding out an 8-0 win against Border, while WP delivered a more convincing performance in their emphatic win over the Pumas.
The latter game was halted after 17 minutes due to lightning in the area. Province lifted the tempo after the enforced break, and ended up winning by 48-0, with wing Madiniyah Joseph grabbing a brace of tries for the team from the Western Cape.
