South African rugby international, Catha Jacobs, has boosted Saracens as the English club announced her signing on Friday, 28 January 2022.

Speaking on the club’s website, the 23-year-old second-rower is excited for the new experience.
“I am very grateful and privileged to join Saracens. It’s a world class environment that I have hoped to experience for a long time. I am excited to learn and develop from a brilliant squad.”
Head coach, Alex Austerberry, said he’s pleased to have Jacobs at the club: “We are delighted to welcome Catha to the club. Having watched her closely during the recent Autumn Internationals and after a short trial period at the club, it was clear to see that she has great potential.
“Physical, powerful and with a strong competitive streak, Catha has illustrated her quality. We are hugely excited about the potential for growth in her game and her desire to maximize her development.”
Jacobs will feature in the match day against Warriors Women on Saturday, 29 January 2022.
