Dutch Cyclo-Cross star Lucinda Brand put up a hard-fought performance to win the GP SVEN Nys women’s elite race in Hulst, Netherlands.
The victory marked Brand’s sixth consecutive win of the season.
After leading the majority of the race, 19-year-old Puck Pieterse was caught off guard by the world champion, who won the race in 49 minutes 14 seconds just four seconds ahead of Pieterse, while series leader, Denise Betsema finished in third place.

With only two rounds remaining, Brand looks set for an overall victory.
