Every Awards Guest a Winner With Estée Lauder

Focussed on a beauty philosophy that every woman can be beautiful, Estée Lauder’s support of the 2013 SPAR gsport Awards represents everything that the brand is about: Being inspired by women, understanding the dual roles that women play in our South African society, and celebrating and honouring that.

The 2013 SPAR gsport Awards morning unfolded with Estée Lauder making over nominees, awards presenters and guests, setting the tone for an unforgettable event.

Found in more than 140 countries worldwide and internationally acclaimed for developing high quality, innovative and technologically advanced products, the Estée Lauder brand is an established leader in skincare, makeup and fragrance for more than 50 years.

Sighs of delight met the announcement that each of the invited guests to the gsport Awards were entitled to a goodie bag represented two of Estée Lauder’s most loved categories – skin care and fragrance, with a travel-sized Pleasures fragrance among scents that most women remember and recognize!

“Pleasures fragrance is one of the first fragrances that women purchase,” relates Lulu Ndevu, National Communications Manager at Estée Lauder. “Fragrance transports you – I hope the ladies will be transported to fond memories when they spray it.

Also in the gift bag was the groundbreaking ANR Eye serum product. Now developed into a serum for easier absorption around the delicate eye area – another first for deveopment by Estée Lauder in its introduction of the concept of serum in skincare regime – the eye-care product is accompanied by the generously-sized Estée Lauder moisturizer, always the final touch in a good skincare regime.

Billed as the #1 Prestige Beauty Brand in the World, the Estée Lauder mission in South Africa is to accelerate its lead, winning with an ever-increasing number of new, diverse, multi-cultural women who desire aspiration, quality and high performance.

“It’s important to have radiant dewy skin,” says Ndevu. “Call it an inner glow. By using the right skincare, this will be achieved with the greatest of ease. Our National makeup artist Chris Williams has three L’s that he lives by when consulting, Lashes, Lips and Luminosity!”

Lashes – its always good to prep and prime the lashes, not only to condition but to protect lashes from breakage

Lips – Lip conditioner, lip pencil, lipstick and a great coral lip gloss is essential colors every women should have in her closet: Red, Coral and Pink! As an artist, Chris finds mixing colors key, as there is no rule in makeup!

Luminosity – Advance Night Repair, Double wear light, Invisible powder, Doublewear concealer, Bronzer- soft shimmer bronze and his all-time favorite to highlight and give that amazing glow in areas that need highlight.

On what basic beauty routine a woman should follow, Ndevu suggests following an every-day skin care regime, saying that a good look starts with good, fresh looking skin, adding that makeup sits better on well-groomed skin.

And with Christmas bearing down on us, what is the one Estée Lauder product that should feature on everyone’s festive shopping list? “Advanced Night Repair,” responds Ndevu without hesitation. “Every woman should have this product in their stocking!”

Ndevu invites all South African ladies, particularly beauty newbies, to visit any Estée Lauder counter nationwide: “Our Beauty Advisors are well-trained and knowledgeable on all our products, so they can guide you on various products that are specific for skin type, and more importantly, your skin concern.
