Faith Kipyegon Continues Record-Breaking Performance

Kenya’s Faith Kipyegon broke another World Record in a span of less than two months after she won the Mile race at the Monaco Diamond League on Friday, 21 July 2023.

Kipyegon clocked 4.07.64 to lower Sifan Hassan’s record of 4.12.33 set in 2019.

It is the third world record that Kipyegon has broken after setting new records for the 1500m and 5000m at the Florence and Paris Diamond Leagues in June.
