GolfRSA National Tournaments are a Go in 2021

GolfRSA is delighted to confirm that the Nomads SA Under-15 Championship will be played from 6-8 January, at the Selborne Park Golf Estate.

Open to boys and girls, the Nomads SA Under-15 Championship will be played in compliance with the National Government Regulations and GolfRSA Consolidated Risk Mitigation Guidelines.

“We look forward to hosting our events in January, but in order to ensure in a safe and healthy environment, we have had to incorporate some format changes to comply with the Adjusted Level 3 Regulations following the recent Presidential address,” said GolfRSA Manager: Operations Eden Thompson.

“Players and caddies will be required to wear masks at all times when physical distancing from fellow competitors cannot be maintained.” – Eden Thompson, GolfRSA Manager: Operations

In addition to format adjustments at the Nomads SA Under-15 Championship, the Opening Dinner has been cancelled in order to assist the host facility to facilitate the Adjusted Level 3 Regulations.

“GolfRSA intend to ensure that all tournaments and championships hosted by us are played in compliance with National Government Regulations, the GolfRSA Consolidated Risk Mitigation Guidelines and our own GolfRSA Covid-19 Tournament Risk Mitigation Plan,” Thompson said.

“And, in accordance with the National Regulations, no spectators will be permitted at any of the tournaments.

“It is a privilege to be able to continue to host our national tournaments during these unfamiliar times, and GolfRSA extends its deepest appreciation to the Nomads Golf Club of South Africa for their unwavering support of junior golf.

“We are also grateful to Ryan Johnson at Selborne and Cedric Brummer at ERPM and their respective teams for being so understanding and accommodating of the changes required for us to continue to host our national events.”
