Kenyan middle distance runner Helen Obiri successfully defended her Great Manchester Run Women’s 10km crown on Sunday, 21 May 2023.

Obiri was the first to cross the finish line in 31:14, followed by her countrymate Peres Jepchirchir in 31:59, and Calli Thackery of Great Britain in 32:51 to round up the top 3.

Obiri, a two-time silver medallist on the track in the Olympics, recently won the Boston Marathon, taking the crown in 2:21:38.
