Kenya’s Judith Jeptum Breaks Course Record at Paris Marathon

Kenya’s Judith Jeptum won the Paris Marathon in definitive fashion on Sunday, 3 April 2022, smashing the previous course record of 2:20:55 which was set by Purity Rionoripo in 2017.

The 2021 Abu Dhabi Marathon winner crossed the finish line in a time of 2:19:48, more than three minutes ahead of the next competitor, Fantu Jimma of Ethiopia, who took second place in 2:22:52.

Former 1,500m runner Besu Sado, also of Ethiopia, rounded out the podium in 2:23:16.
