South Africa’s leading wheelchair tennis champion Kgothatso Montjane and her Japanese partner Yui Kamiji earned Wimbledon runners-up honours in the final of the quad doubles category on Sunday, 16 July 2023. 

Montjane and Kamiji faced Dutch duo Diede de Groot and Jiske Griffioen, with the latter walking away with a 6-1, 6-4 victory. 

In June, Montjane and Kamiji made history winning the women’s wheelchair doubles title at Roland Garros.
