Kira Rice Joins Jordan Brand as First NIL Athlete

American college basketball player, Kira “Kiki” Rice made a groundbreaking move, signing with Jordan brand, making her the brand’s first NIL athlete as reported by Nike on Monday, 31 October 2022.

The 18-year-old hopes that this move can help improve gender equality in sport for young girls.

Rice has and continues to smash barriers at a young age as she helped the United States U16 national team win a gold medal at the 2019 FIBA U16 Americas Championship in Chile.

She has also led the United States U18 national team to a gold medal at the 2022 FIBA U18 Americas Championship in Argentina.

In 3×3 basketball, Rice won a gold medal with the United States at the FIBA 3×3 U18 World Cup in Hungary.
