Zambia’s Copper Queens edge a cracker 1-0 win over Tunisia in stoppage time at the TotalEnergies Africa Women’s Cup of Nations on Wednesday, 6 July 2022.
The Copper Queens put enormous pressure on the Tunisians throughout the match, but found the North Africans’ defence very hard to breach, as the game looked destined for a goalless stalemate.
However, in stoppage time, the Zambians broke the deadlock through a finish from Avell Chitundu.
The next matches for both teams will see The Eagles of Carthages face Cameroon in Casablanca, and Zambia take on Togo in Rabat on Saturday.
