Sunette Loubser starred with the ball as South Africa beat England A by 63 runs, in their second limited overs match at Taunton College today.

Loubser finished with figures of 5/26 from 10 overs, including three maidens, as England A were bowled out for 154 in the 46th over, while Susan Benade and Ashlyn Kilowan chipped in with a wicket apiece.

Earlier SA captain Cri-Zelda Brits top-scored with 78, to steer the Proteas to 218/5 in their allotted 50 overs, with Mignon du Preez continuing her good form with a solid knock of 60.

South Africa will be well pleased with their efforts against this England A side, winning both matches with ease. In the first match yesterday, SA beat England A by 36 runs.

Batting first, SA posted 200/9 in their allotted 50 overs, with Johmari Logtenberg top-scoring with 82.

In reply, England A were all-out for 164 in the 48th over. Susan Benade was impressive, bagging 3/25 in her 10 overs, while Sunette Loubser picked up 2/35 in 10 overs.

Tomorrow, the South African women will spend Women’s Day practicing for their final two matches, which take place on Friday, when they face New Zealand and England A in two Twenty20 encounters at Somerset County Cricket Ground.

They depart for home on Saturday.
