University of Stellenbosch were crowned the 2022 Women’s USSA Rugby7s Champions in Kimberley on Sunday, 25 September 2022.
The Maroon Machine beat University of Pretoria 21-7 in the final at Griquas Stadium.
On Day One of the competition, Maties won all three of their games against Wits (49-0), CPUT (14-7) and UFH (24-5).
Maties then went on to dominate in the semi-final round, beating University of Johannesburg 10-5 to go onto the final against Tuks.
