Nkosi Cup defending champions Namibia thumped the Spar SA Indoor Women’s hockey team in the tournament final to defend their title at the Wynberg Military Base in Cape Town on Tuesday, 17 December, 2025.
The Namibia women came into the tournament as fired up defending champions, intent on exacting revenge for their final pool-stage loss to South Africa on Monday, only their third in the tournament’s history.

The match saw the two teams continue to write an incredible rivalry and this next chapter was nothing short of sublime, an evenly-matched tactical battle that had the crowd enthralled.
Namibia took a first-half lead through Jivanka Kruger and it was a 1-0 lead at the half-time break with Namibia frustrating South Africa through their defensive patterns and offering threat on the counter attack.

South Africa were growing in momentum in the third quarter but it was Kiana-Che Cormack who would score from a penalty corner to double the lead.
The home team did find a goal back to the crowd’s delight, SA going on to pull their keeper in a search of the equaliser, but when the golden opportunity presented itself, fired wide.
Jivanka Kruger would get a late counter-attacking goal to claim her second of the final, for Namibia to win 3-1 and defend their Nkosi Cup crown.
