This past weekend’s Sasol Women’s League’s fixtures saw Sophakama Ladies Football Club take an outright lead at the top of the table in the Eastern Cape Coastal Stream after their big 1-1 draw against Nav Galaxy Ladies on Saturday, 25 May 2024.
The draw means the East London team lost some ground, and is now second on the log.
Over in the Inland Steam, Eastern Cape Peach Lovers were dethroned from top spot by Executive Ladies who are now on 21 points, after both teams got wins over the weekend.
The Free State Group 1A sees Ixias hold on to their place on top of the log, this came courtesy of an 8-0 win over Grasslands Ladies FC. In Group 1B, Kovsies remain at the top but are now level with Central University FS on 15 points with securing victories.
Things are still tight in Stream A as Mito Ladies still hold a narrow one-point lead over University of Johannesburg FC in Gauteng Stream A. FC Raycon Ladies hold a three-point lead over second-placed Croesus Ladies FC in Stream B.

Newcastle Chess FC is just unstoppable when it comes to finding the back of the net! Their 7-0 win against UKZN FC on Sunday has seen them cement themselves as log leaders of Stream A. Ezemvelo Women’s FC have opened up a four-point gap at the top over Roman Stars in Stream B in KwaZulu-Natal.
A loss for Marumo Galants FC saw them move down to second place in Limpopo’s Stream A, their defeat against Golden Diamonds FC means they remain on 13 points. Ramatlaohle Ladies FC are now log leaders in Stream A after an admirable 9-0 win over FC 50 Stars United. In Stream B Sinthumulekutama FC continues to hold on to their lead at the top, while Rodadau FC remain in second place.
Sasol Juventus Ladies FC are now the outright leaders on the Mpumalanga Stream A log, with Two Touch FC now moving down to third place as Storm Ladies FC replace them in second position. Over in Stream B, Super Strikers Ladies FC now have a three point lead at the top of the standings over second placed The Rockets FC.
There are a few streams that weren’t in action this weekend which means the results remain unchanged with no games being played. There were no fixtures in the Northwest Stream A or B, their matches resume on 1 June 2024.
The Northern Cape Steam A and Steam B are on a two-week break, and their matches will resume on Saturday, 8 June. The Western Cape Steams will get back underway on Friday this weekend.
