Kgothatso Montjane and Yui Kamiji Defend Barcelona Open Title

The smiling rolling inspiration that is Kgothatso Montjane has once again displayed dominance, dedication, and passion for tennis alongside her doubles partner Yui Kamiji as they successfully defended their TRAM Barcelona Wheelchair Doubles Title at the Real Club de Polo de Barcelona, Spain on Sunday 26 May 2024.

‘KG’, as she is so affectionately known, has had a steady start to her 2024 campaign, with her runners-up finish with Kamiji in the Australian Open women’s Wheelchair Doubles Final.

Montjane also won BNP Paribus World Team Cup Africa Qualification alongside Mariska Venter in Nigeria, and in April she and her partner Kamiji defended their Japan Open Women’s Wheelchair Doubles Title. 

The TRAM Barcelona event is an International Wheelchair Tennis Tournament that is held in the city of Barcelona, making it the first of its kind in Spain, and is one of the Top 10 in the ITF1 world circuit.
