The evening session of the 2023 Netball World Cup was a hive of activity as the host nation, South Africa’s #SPARProteas, put up a brilliant display against Sri Lanka at Cape Town International Convention Centre on Saturday, 29 July. 

The Proteas celebrated renowned goal defender, Karla Pretorius’ 100 caps in style with a 87-32 victory over the Sri Lankans. 

The Norma Plummer coached side will now shift focus to their next Pool C encounter against Jamaica on Sunday, 30 July at 18h00 CAT. 

At CTICC 2, Scotland defeated Barbados 53-44, after a commanding performance throughout their encounter. 

In the final matches of the day, Trinidad & Tobago beat Singapore 49-36, and England defeated Malawi 62-39.
