Momentum is powering the Momentum Proteas by encouraging #OneMoreFan to elevate the success of the senior national women’s team as they represent South Africa at the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup in New Zealand.

Since 2013, Momentum have contributed to the professional advancement of women cricketers, providing financial backing which has seen many of the national team players earn professional contracts.

In an attempt to close the sponsorship gap, the #SheOwnsHerSuccess campaign has encouraged women to take up space in roles where we remain underrepresented in the sport industry.

Several initiatives have been launched to promote women’s participation. Girl’s Cricket is acknowledged as the fastest growing sport in South Africa as it is being incorporated in school sports curriculum.

As efforts increase to support women cricketers, Momentum is encouraging the public to get on board with commercial investment, provide viable resources and facilities, and motivate more people to follow and watch the Proteas team, which will ultimately generate more interest and media coverage.
